Deena Neely is a local piano teacher with over 35 years teaching experience. She is a member of Music Teachers National Association, Oklahoma Music Teachers Association, Enid Music Teachers Association, Ponca City Music Teachers Association, National Federation of Music, and Texas Music Teachers Music Teachers Association.
Ms. Neely teaches students piano beginning at ages 3 and older
Private Piano Lessons: (Youth)
Each student will receive a 45 minute lesson. Piano Instruction includes a private piano lesson with the teacher of 30 minutes using an acoustic baby grand piano.
Also included in the lesson is 15 minutes of independent study focusing on music theory, history, rhythm, ear training, sight-reading, music appreciation, and beginning composition. Digital instruction is used for independent study using computer technology, ipad, and an advanced Yamaha Clavinova digital piano to supplement learning.
Fun Lesson Options Available
Partner Lessons with a Friend or Sibling:
A great way to spice up piano. Partner lessons are available for students that are similar in age and level. From beginners to intermediate, this can be used as a fun way to learn piano or in addition to private lessons as options for duet and ensemble performances.
Keyboard Readiness Classes for ages 6 and under
For young students interested in piano, but not quite ready for a formal sit-down lesson, Keyboard Readiness Small Classes provide beginning piano and music instruction using singing, music and movement, rhythm instruments, musical concepts, and piano instruction with fun characters and age appropriate curriculum.
Adult Recreational Music
Adult Private Piano, or otherwise known as Adult Recreational Music Making, is offered for those adults who "always wanted to learn to play but didn't" or adults who would just like to continue on with piano. ARMM includes a weekly 45 minute piano lesson.
